In the night of 14th to 15th April 2012 it shall
be one hundred years ago
the TiTANiC sank to the bottom of the Atlantic
Ocean on her bold maiden trip.
Four billion out of 6 billion inhabitants of the
earth have heard of this event.
Two hundred million of them know in rather more
detail what happened then.
They know the main characters. With near certainty
one can expect that a
new musical/film/theatre play will be released
come 2012.
TiTANiCTRiBUTE2012 has written
the scenario. A scenario (see drawer)
in which all remains the same except…this time
SHE does not sink!
The Legend thus lives on and now with a turn to
the good.
This has provided Travel Union International (TUI)
and Holland America Line
with the opportunity to organise special theme
travels, which will be relating
on TiTANiCEVENT, see drawer and/or
click on "Zeetours Cruises".
Holland America Line has an eye on the following
TiTANiC-ports:
Southampton, St. Johns, Halifax and New York.
But as Holland America Line is
of Dutch origin, it would prefer to involve the
ports of Rotterdam and
Amsterdam as a point of departure for the travels.
Another reason is that
initiatives of TRiBUTE2012 originate
in Holland. It would also be a tribute
to Mr. Reuchlin esq., chairman of Holland America
Line in 1912, who was a
passenger on White Star Line's sea castle. He
lost his life at that dramatic
moment because he kept to the device: "Woman and
Children First".
Public interest in the TiTANiCEVENT
is large. TUI expects cities like Rotterdam
and/or Amsterdam to organise special events for
the occasion of the
"remembrance". If you open the drawer ROTTERDAMSURVIVALL
you will see
how this might look for Rotterdam. As far as the
city of Amsterdam is
concerned, similar events could be their contribution
during the now
world-famous Sail Amsterdam.
Also Scheveningen could be a party to it. If the
large cruise ships, which carry
about 2000 passengers at a fare of €1000. - per
person, sail from Rotterdam
and Amsterdam, then small cruise ships carrying
about 200 passengers who
pay a fare of €10,000.- each for the annual Celeb
Charity Tour can call at
Scheveningen. Twenty percent of the Tour's revenues
can then be donated
to a charity. For example to fund scientific research
into extracting water
of the purest quality from melting ICEBERGS. It
is not unlikely Prince
Willem Alexander, future king of the Netherlands,
might warm to this idea!
